In ZErace, virtual horses run virtual races.
Owners are rewarded when their horse wins a race or is placed (up to 3rd, 4th or 5th place depending on the race).
There are 3 different types of horses. Each type of horse runs a different type of race : flat, hurdles or trotting.
A horse can only take part in the races of its specialty.
Every horse in the ZErace world is unique. Its racing performances vary mainly according to its speed, its stamina, its flexibility and its obedience.
Decisions made throughout the game by the Stable Owner, the Trainer and the Jockey have also a direct influence on the horse’s results.
The average speed represents the horse’s ability to maintain a certain pace without getting tired.
The stamina represents its ability to go beyond its average speed as long as possible.
The horse's flexibility represents its ability to adapt to the ground (hard, good, soft, yielding, heavy). The more this characteristic improves, the less the horse will be penalised by the heaviness of the ground.
The more a horse is obedient, the better it will react to the jockey’s orders, and the more regular its performances will be.
The average speed, the stamina and the flexibility can improve through the training. Obedience increases at each race.
You can create your own virtual horse in the game for Euro 1 only or it can be the product of a covering (Euros 3) between two existing horses.
The covering can only be done between horses that run in the same specialty.
A horse that is the product of a covering will partially inherit the sire and the dam’s characteristics.
