As in the real world, the horses need to be trained.
You can train your own horses as well as other players’ horses.
The trainer gets 7% of the winnings set by the racecourse manager when the horse wins or is placed.
Training improves horse's performances (speed, stamina and flexibility).
Take your horse out for a ride and train it at different paces (slow, average, fast) and on different grounds ((flat, uphill, downhill, river, mud, jumps).
Start with a warm-up and find the best distance for your horse. (Distance increases or shortens according to the levels achieved at previous trainings).
If you wish to work on the horse’s speed - run on flat ground : if you wish to work on its stamina - run uphill, etc. (find out what your horse prefers).
Let your horse rests at a slow pace. If you have focused on the speed, try walking the horse in the river, etc.
Alternate phases of training with phases of rest to build up the same characteristics or to build up other ones.
When a horse is not trained its abilities do not decrease. However as other horses improve it will be more difficult to catch up on them. If you cannot train your own horse, let another player do it.
